5.4.16 I have become a weather app junkie. I have to say this is one of my favorite and it is very accurate.

Continuous location prompts render this app unusable. All of its useful features (eg, world map, notification widget, etc.) are being held for the ransom of access to my phones location services. This even after adding my ZIP code. Terrible bug and worse support by a development team in which I had placed a great deal of faith. EDIT: App no longer requires location services for normal use, but still requires location services to function in the iOS notification center. Otherwise, expect the "cannot determine your location" message instead of weather information. So, I still have to rely upon another weather app (that does not require location services) for iOS notification center forecasting. I find it hard to recommend the app until this functionality is added. Manual location entry should enable full functionality without limitation. Other developers have figured out how to accomplish the feat. EDIT: Added a fourth star, as the notification widget now works without location services enabled...sometimes. And lately many of my forecasts have been wildly inaccurate. v5.1.4—This is definitely progress. It would be nice if locations were not modified between use for those of us who choose to set them manually (eg, "city, state, zip" becomes "city, state"). I would also like to see the widget provide data without location services enabled. Weather Underground provides users with the option to view the last location viewed in the app in the notification center. Shouldnt be too hard to implement here. Lets try to learn from the best, devs.

For $4 I expected something that would at least rival Wunderground (which is FREE). Not so. Location saving and deleting is extremely finicky and you sometimes have to use the very precise tip of your pinky to correctly hit the delete for removing locations. Theres no way to reset the global map on your selected location. The interface is extremely limited and the forecast on my first day was totally wrong (I live in the DC region where there is ample forecast data). Disappointed and deleted. Money wasted.

Ive found Dark Sky to be very accurate. Never a problem with the app freezing or crashing. Its easy to use. I save my favorite spots and then am easily able to know what the weather is like in multiple places that are important to me.

Keep getting alerts rain started and there is no clouds in the sky. This app is worthless

The app is some money but worth every penny I spent

This is my go-to weather app out of the handful I have. It is right on 99% of the time. It tells me when rain is coming, has started and has stopped, gives me 3 day forecasts and so much more! Love it!

Very accurate to the minute. Important when you live in storm prone south Florida.

Freakishly accurate and pretty much indispensable.

This app is one of my favorites. Its incredibly accurate and I use it to plan outings.

Remarkably accurate in my area. My weather is constantly changing and highly variable. Dark Sky has had it right *much* more often than any other app I use, and the detail about the type of rain (drizzle/light rain/showers/etc.) or other phenomenon has been remarkably accurate. It doesnt push out useless info and the interface, while only using black, white and blue, is surprisingly elegant and functional. Could it be improved, well yes. The inability to change anything about the interface or colors is frustrating, but hardly any others allow that either. Additional data could be layered further in the interface, but this is also pickiness. It does exactly what it is supposed to, it works well, is very accurate for my location and gives me a fairly detailed forecast that is very easy to access. Well done!

This is one of those apps that I use every day, without even thinking of it! Rain alerts are especially useful for planning cycling trips around town

Thoughtful application overall. Enjoy being able to quickly get information with just a glance, but dig into detailed data when needed. Suggestion: The global precipitation/temperature map looks awesome, but really needs to have an adjustable default zoom setting. Would like to have the map already zoomed in on my current location/ city, but allow me to zoom out when I want to look at other parts of the country/world (which is a less common use case for me, personally).

In the city of microclimates, this is the best app, no matter what part of the city Im in. I also love maps and can spend a long time just spinning the globe and getting a sense of what weather is happening elsewhere, from Siberia to Tierra del Fuego! Love it!

The weather here in Seattle is so unpredictable, I really rely on Dark Sky for helping me plan dog walks. The notifications are fairly accurate and I even like the notification tone that rings whenever conditions change.

Ive never had a problem with the forecast or present weather conditions that are presented . Very reliable, thank you!

Only had the app for a couple hours, its absolutely amazing! Very user friendly!

I have never been inclined to write an app review over my 10 years with an IPhone. Ive used all the rest of the weather apps, and NONE are this accurate and user friendly. Thank you Dark Sky!
