This is the best weather app. It is very accurate which helps me plan my day

I travel whenever I get a chance in my Motorhome and this app comes in handy with notices I can set to let me know if rain is coming or if the temp will go below freezing. Also notifications if winds are above whatever limit I set. Seems to be the one app I depend on every day. Its not perfect but all the other weather apps I have tried dont get the weather right all the time and I live in Maryland so the weather can change 4 times a day. At least I can set up alerts for upcoming rain, snow, high winds,etc. and be alerted at whatever schedule I want. Keep up the good work.

This is the most accurate and down to the minute weather app that I tried. I love how it shows in minutes when the rain/snow is starting or stopping and is often right on!!!

Havent used the Apple weather app in months

Is it possible to add a feature for dark sky to alert you when there is lightning and possibly thunder?

I have been using Dark Sky for a couple of years. Like many other people I love weather Apps. Dark Sky is unique that I have it set to alert me when rain is nearby no other App Ive found does this. The forecast portion I like because of how it breaks apart temperate precipitation "wind" (as a golfer I love this). As far as forecast accuracy its right some and wrong some like all weather forecasts. The map feature on showing where its is currently raining is simply the best. Having live accurate information on whats going on around me is why after a few years it is still my go to weather App.

Best weather app without a doubt. I rely on it to make minute by minute decisions to go outside.

This app is great and pretty accurate. The iPhone app is my favorite weather app. The Apple Watch app is good but complications do not update often enough. I travel a lot and am often in 2 or 3 different major cities a day. For instance I left Atlanta a few hours ago and am in New York City now. Ive been here 30 minutes and the complication on the watch face still shows Atlantas forecast even after opening the app on the watch and getting the New York weather. If the developers fix this its easily 5 stars. Disappointing on the watch because I can never tell if the complication is showing weather for where I am now or for where Ive been. Even after I open the app on both my phone and watch its not updating. It will eventually update but seems like it should update itself as soon as it recognizes that Im in a new place. Kind of defeats the purpose of having it on the watch when it doesnt update and I dont know if its accurate.

Dark sky is perhaps the most accurate and reliable weather app I have used to date, I definitely recommend using it especially if youre always outdoors like I am.

"Rain starting soon" doesnt help me. Used to give me minutes. Says it will notify you 30 before rain starts. It never does that. Instead I get a notification 30 min after the rain starts. It tell me "rain will stop in 12 min" how about you tell me before the rain starts.

Looked great and, once in a while, was spot on. Most of the time the alerts aren’t appropriate and they often don’t come at all. I deleted my copy. A peek at NEXRAD from the good old National Weather Service (tax dollars at work, really!) is far more useful and informative.

I am amazed that the app is so accurate -down to the minute- when precipitation will begin!

I like the notifications. We travel on route 75 often and feel better prepared with this app. It pinpoints our location with the forecast. Other apps would just report weather for certain counties. I would have no idea where I was. This app tells me what exit/exits are affected.

I still find the graphics and simple nature of this app to be a perfect fit for me. It shows me just enough info.

This app has become horribly inaccurate. Ill get a notification saying its raining, but when I look outside its bone dry. I know it cant be perfect, but I do enjoy actually getting useful notifications and not just false reasons to pick up my umbrella as I walk out the door.

I like the concept, though its time consuming ... moving back and forth on temp, wind, etc The world map is a big plus. But the location selection panel is bizarre. You have to remember to do the state thing. It sorts by latest, so if you have a group of locations, theyre always mixed up. Then deleting a location is maybe not ... they re-appear after deleting. DS is cute, no doubt. But needs some more work.

Accurate, easy, just simply the best!

I love Dark Sky. It is the weather app I use the most, by far on my iPhone and iPad.

I check it multiple times a day to determine what to wear on my walks and errands. I particularly like the Apple Watch complication and app. I find the alerts useful - for example, I was sitting outside at a Starbucks when it alerted me that it would rain in 2 minutes. I moved under the patio cover, and then the rain came!! As others have said, it is not always accurate, but neither is the weather man!
